Bhakti Lalita: Well, i start my day at four o'clock normally on a good day, normal day.
I'm up at four and i like to be step ahead of a world and everything and all the programms and everything i need to do. Everyday, i want to be running a little early, not running a little late.
So, i learn Srila Gurudev, Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda dev-Goswami maharaj, to be up early and ready for service and serving as His personally secretary. I had to be ready very very early in the morning. He liked to do His letters at four thirty, five a.m.
So, i had to learn how to be a lot and ready to the sharp, mind to right his letters with Him. So, i'm in that habit for almost fifteen years now and i try to maintain that and feel much better, if a can do that everyday.
If you live in a temple, then is much easier, because we begin our day are morning a Mangal Arati, worshiped the deity and that takes place just before sunrise and it's called Brahma-muhurta in "sanskrit" and at that time is the most spiritually potent time of the day. And so, we begin worshipped at that time.
And it's like a spiritual infusion, everyday to be up before sunrise and to engage in devotional activity such as attending the worship of the Lord, chanting the Lord's name and glories, singing beautiful vaisnav songs and studying scriptures.
We give all importance to the morning hours, as well as throughout the day, but knowing that. Brahma-muhurta is very auspicious for us and our Gurus abserved this and...be up early and engaging in service.
So, i found this is only possible, if you can go to sleep early. Otherwise it's very hard to get up, at least, daily basis.
Once in awhile. Maybe you not getting enough sleep, but, if you try to be steady in devotional life. Then it's path to get up early and go to sleep early. We say in english: "early to bed, early to rise makes a man or a women healthy, wealthy and wise"
